Bill and Warren both worked at the legendary Buffett family grocery, in Omaha. Warren contributed a chapter to the book and helped Bill plug it at the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting.

Doha women writing studentsteaching in Qatar

In October, 2008, I took my third trip to Qatar, this time to work on a second essay collection, Qatar: Then & Now.

I taught
two workshops a day to students and community members and helped launch a new writing program: Finding Your Voice, funded by local sponsors including a bank, an art center, and a real estate office.

Earlier
in the year I enjoyed a fascinating six-week residency in Qatar, where I taught writing to a group of Qatar University students and to the QU library staff.

Books I'd Love for you to Read

So many books. so little time. Here are some I have read, reread, savored. Joseph Campbell said that underlining and making margin notes was, for him, a form of meditation. Yes, I say.
