Creative Nonfiction Groups

Primarily an essay writing workshop–although we always have a number of book length projects.

My Creative Nonfiction Groups are ongoing. They began as spin-offs from my original Creative Non-fiction Class, “Writing From Personal Experience.” At first, participation was limited to those who had taken the class at least once and were interested in finishing pieces and pursuing avenues for publication.

I no longer offer that particular class, but out of necessity, I still require some pre-qualification; the requirement now is that new applicants should have worked with me privately or otherwise made their work known to me. Personally, I’m not fond of “limitations,” but I recognize the fact that an ongoing writing group must share a certain skill level and critical lexicon, as well as a basic mutual congeniality.

Turnover is slow in these groups, and places don’t often become available. For this reason I am launching a new Wednesday evening section of my Creative Nonfiction Group. I expect it to fill quickly. Please inquire if places are still available
