Journaling in Words and Images
A picture may (or may not) be worth a thousand words-it’s debatable. But here’s how you can merge the evocative power of both words and images in your journal to create synergy, insight, and fun. Coming soon: a rare opportunity to merge the word and the image, presented in collaboration with painter Linda Passman.
2 Saturdays, April 10 and April 17, 9:30 – 3 PM, fee $195. At Linda’s studio in Chapel Hill.
We’ll mingle color, white space, layers, borders, backgrounds, word clusters, memories, anecdotes, lists, and stories. We’ll add pockets to the journal page, and learn how to use evocative clips, snapshots, letters, tracings, and drawings (for those who draw!) to make multi-sensory collages. Come prepared to improvise, play, and enjoy the process.
At the end of this two-day workshop, you’ll have colorful and original pages ripe with ideas for your own artistic expression and richer journaling.
To apply: print the application form you’ll find here, complete it, and send with payment in full. Make check payable to “Carol Henderson Workshops, LLC” and mail to:
